The texture was not really different but you could definitely taste the wine. I guess it wasn’t all wine but added at some point

More chutney - a big batch this time from white nectarines that won't get a chance to ripen. (Did I mention that squirrels are jerks?) Chutney is an excellent solution because it benefits from the higher acidity and firm texture of the green fruit, yet the aromatics of the nectarines come through nicely. This was half my day, on Wednesday. It resulted in 16 pint jars of chutney. Because of the quantity, I had to use proper canning techniques this time.

Too many watches, not enough wrists.

A nice homemade almost-vegetarian tapas dinner. Lots of light tasty things. (Would have been vegetarian if not for the lovely smoked sausage on the cheese platter). It's enough for a few days, so this will be part of dinner for a while. It's hot and smokey here from NorCal fires, so not in the mood for heavy hot food. Curried cauliflower (served cold, with raisins), fresh corn and garbanzo bean salad with cilantro, tomatoes & shisito peppers from the garden, patatas bravas, cheeses, German style smoked farmers sausage, olives, yogurt with calamata olive paste, figs from the garden.

He's been with us since he was a pup. Never left like his 5 brothers and sisters. Had a family of his own and they've now left. He must like the food we give him

That's awesome. I'd love to see more pics of the little guy.

None of him as a pup as they were always racing around. Mobile phone can't keep up with zippy foxes
Here's a few with and without his winter coat.
