What about a 997 instead of a new one? I prefer them, actually.

The 997 are the ones that have the engine bearing issue that Porsche refuses to support the owners. I had a 2009 Carrera 4S Cabriolet, but it was only driven mostly on weekends or about 2K-3K miles per year. I never really did anything that would bring this out the issue. My car really had no milage when I traded it.

It is a little absurd the lengths they went to to remove a little strip of fabric.

Is it just me or does the roof section not look wide enough to bridge the gap between the header and the Targa bar? The little wings in the bar that flip up to allow the arms for the roof to pass back I agree are complex, but cool. Still better than having to go get it out from under the hatch like a Vette. Timing it I still would prefer the Cabriolet. Top up is very slow and you would drown where I live while it closed when it starts raining. First thing I always do when looking at a convertible is check top up time. Even more critical if the car must be at a full stop to put it up.

I’m not sure if that was a parody video or not. Could go either way.

But, I’ll say this. Why do people spit vitriol online? It’s because people are garbage. Deep, deep down in their soul, the vast majority of people are meat and bones wrapped around a center of pure refuse. 99% of people you’ll ever meet are pieces of shit. And the internet allows them to release their inner landfill and spew it at the world so they can feel better about themselves. This isn’t just the car community. It’s everything. Read any comments section on YouTube, local news sites, anything. It’s filled with garbage human beings acting like garbage to one another. The internet gave people permission to be the horrible people that they are. If people acted in real life the way they do on the internet, Mad Max Fury Road would look like a child’s bedtime story in comparison.

That said, stanced cars are dumb.
