And I’d take a manual every time, no matter how bad the traffic. I find it actually easier to deal with in traffic, as long as the clutch isn’t too heavy. Might be a burden in a vintage 911, but in a modern car, the clutch is easy enough to handle, even on German cars, which typically have heavier clutches than Japanese cars.

Life is too short to only enjoy the weekends.

I agree with you on this, Raza... I don't care how much stop and go traffic... I still prefer a manual (with a cutch pedal). I'd even take the burden of an old 911. Gladly.

New daily driver. Behold the glory of a 99 Ford Ranger 4 cylinder with manual door locks and windows and the world's least sporty manual transmission. Has all the luxuries I need like A/C and a stereo (kind of). I will admit I wouldn't hate having cruise control though. Total cost: Free.

Continuing my tradition on not owning a car made in this century. (not counting the wife's car)

Currently adding sound deading to the doors and Focal 6×9 speakers with a JVC head unit. Going to later add sound deading to floor plus an Alpine 150 amp wired to the two speakers and bridged to a small ported DIY subwoofer setup.

I agree. I mean even in a completely non sporty vehicle like the new to me Ford Ranger I would rather have a manual if for no other reason they are more reliable and easier to fix.

Man, the weather is awful today and the highways out here seem to have terrible drainage. So much ****ing standing water, this is turning into a stressful affair.
