And once again, the treatment of Luke Shaw has elements of bullying. More than elements perhaps.
Not nice, and sooner or later the players won’t stand for it.

Well, the latest word is that Mou plans to dump a dozen or more players this summer, so I guess he'll get rid of those who won't get in line.

Finally, a terrible refereeing decision goes Liverpool’s way! No complaints about the first half decisions except for the missed Zaha handball, which turned out to be inconsequential, but man, what was Neil Swarbrick thinking when he didn’t send Mané off? I mean, thank goodness he didn’t, but I have no explanation for it. Reminds me of our match against United a few years back where Angel Di Maria caught a ball he thought was going out, but he caught it in play and it should have been a yellow, but the referee let it go.
Also, a few gifts from Benteke kept us in the game. He’s a shadow of even his poor form when he was at Liverpool.

Not really.
Law 12 says a free-kick or penalty will be awarded if a player "handles the ball deliberately (except for the goalkeeper within his own penalty area)".
Page 67 of the document gives "additional information for referees, assistant referees and fourth officials".
It adds: "Referees are reminded that deliberately handling the ball is normally punished only by a direct free-kick or penalty kick if the offence occurred inside the penalty area.
"A caution or dismissal is not normally required."

I am not saying Newcastle is safe yet but 7 points clear of the drop zone with 7 games left seems a pretty healthy margin

Interesting. Commentators and the studio analysts were baffled as to why it wasn’t a yellow.

I can’t swear that what I quoted is absolutely up-to-date. The ‘guideline’ wording may be revised fairly frequently.
