I guess. I've been making my chicken stock this way for so long I just call it stock and the stock always contains vegetables too. On the other hand I do put it in the oven when I go to work, barely simmer it all day and then take it out in the evening. It ends up thick and silky like bone broth, so...

It's like a Waldorf but different.
Apple, celery, dried cranberries, almonds and mayo.
Thought about pineapple when I was halfway through it.

I woke up with a strange craving for deviled eggs. Maybe I should make some this weekend. Doesn’t seem that hard.

Anyway, I need to be a bit regimented in my eating today. Going to dinner tonight at Barclay Prime, an excellent steakhouse (best in the city, I think) and I need to make sure I can eat all the beef. Steakhouses are so hard to gauge. There’s the appetizer, then the giant steak, and you know you want sides. The truffle mac, the creamed spinach, the whipped potatoes. And of course, there’s dessert too.

Come to think of it, I probably shouldn’t have eaten yesterday at all.

I get cravings for them sometimes and usually fulfil them (I'm sure I've posted about them before).

I also have steak for dinner, but homemade (well, home cooked). Yours sounds good - enjoy!

Actually, I just discussed it with my brother. Both of us are a little under the weather and then the actual weather is a nightmare (up to 60mph winds, rain, and the possibility of snow). We’re postponing.

Smart decision under the circumstances. A good steakhouse meal should be enjoyed to the fullest.
