Helmut Sinn dies at 102

The founder of Sinn has passed away at the age of 102. SJX has an excellent write up about his extraordinary career that I highly recommend reading.

He leaves behind a legacy of excellent watches.

One interesting fact that I was not aware of was his acquisition of assets from Breitling when it was insolvent, which explains why Sinn still sells watches that look almost identical to the Navitimer.

Sad. But that's a long life for a human. We should all be so lucky.
