Never underestimate the power of Ashley screwing over Newcastle fans. I mean it look like Sturridge was headed here. But honestly I am not to upset he isn't here. He is great the 3 games a year he isn't on the treatment table.

Well, Marc Bartra is headed back to Spain, this time to Real Betis. I thought he’d make a good third CB for Liverpool, or possibly competition for Matip's spot, but a move to Betis at 27 isn’t inspiring. A reported 5.5 year contract means this may be the last move of his career if he sees it out. His stats look solid for his time at Dortmund, but Betis less so; in 13th place, they’re a comfortable 30 points behind Barcelona. Kind of reminds me of the downward trajectory of Shaquiri.

A few I missed:
Aymeric Laporte to City for £57m. John Stones and Eliaquim Mangala spotted shoving robes and miniature soaps and shampoos into their luggage as they prepare to be out of a job soon. Vincent Kompany attempted to take some towels, but was injured in the process, he'll be out 4-6 weeks.
Ulloa to Brighton on loan was confirmed. He’s spent his first day teaching his teammates how to say his name.
Roque Mesa—the player who confused Swansea fans into thinking they were getting Messi—is headed to Sevilla on loan. Unconfirmed whether his porno moustache cost extra.
Gerard Deolufeo's month to month apartment lease in Barcelona has paid off, as he’s on his way to Watford, with Barcelona saying "We'll probably want you in the future, but right now we have Messi, Dembele, and Coutinho, so...ttfn Gerry! ;-p”.
NYCFC rising star Jack Harrison has been signed by parent club Manchester City for an undisclosed fee. He released a statement saying “I’m very excited to never, ever play for this team. It’s a wonderful team and a wonderful manager, and I’m excited to wear my kit around the house while I watch them with the Premier League on TV."
Former Tottenham man Aaron Lennon has moved from Everton to Burnley. Everton is reportedly clearing out space to bring in the next over the hill or failed player Manchester United wants to get off their books and crossing their fingers that Alexis Sanchez will flop under the Old Trafford lights.

They can still sign him, can’t they?

Yeah but it is just so like Newcastle to sign the striker we need finally and he is going to miss a critical game vs Crystal Palace.
Reports are he has landed in Newcastle.

Watford were going to sign Slimani and then changed their minds. The injury, maybe.
The details of one of Watford’s signings is interesting:
Gerard Deulofeu’s loan from Barcelona to Watford seemed like a simple six-month spell, but news from Catalonia today shows there were quite a few interesting details included in the contract.
The report was originally made by radio show ‘Club de la Mitjanit’, and covered by Sport. They claim that, initially, Watford will have to pay a €1m fee for the deal.
But that’s not all.
According to the outlet, that fee will only be paid in case Watford finish in 10th place or above that. Otherwise the loan will be for free.
And in case Deulofeu impresses in England and is later sold by Barcelona for over €20m in the next summer, then the €1m amount returns to the Premier League side, also making the loan a free deal in the end.
So little by little, the Hornets have apparently managed to get a great deal with this transfer. The idea is that Deulofeu either helps the team or they won’t spend a penny for having signed him.

Olivier Giroud to Chelsea is official, for just £16.25m. When asked, Giroud responded "This bench seems like it will be a little more comfortable than the one at Arsenal. At least I'm too old for them to loan me out for the rest of my career."
Michy Batshuayi's loan to Dortmund is official as well, completing the transfer triangle. As he arrived, he confirmed with local press "Yes, I did play for Chelsea. Really, I did. I know it doesn't seem like I did, but I did. I think we won the title.”
