    Mignolet and Moreno were atrocious.

We still need a Defensive midfielder to at least provide some support to our defence.

I saw this interview with David Ginola the other day. He is totally right. Just one more thing wrong with the modern game. https://talksport.com/football/inves...ent-state-game

Also I ****ing hate this replay shit.

I think this should be the end of Moreno at Liverpool, if he can't play in the midfield. He just doesn't have the right mindset to do the defensive work at left back. If Robertson can do it and contribute on offense, there's no reason Moreno should ever have that position when Robertson is fit.

Can was awful on the day, but he'll do until Keita arrives. Henderson, Milner, and Ings changed the face of the game. Henderson is no Coutinho, of course, but he was able to control midfield better and put in those patented Henderson crosses that helped get the team in when defense was packed tight. I may not think he should be the number one choice for captain, but it's clear how important he is to the midfield. Can and Wijnaldum aren't cutting in the midfield. Wijnaldum has transformed from attacking midfielder into a half decent central mid, but he's not good enough at the defensive part of the game and when things get difficult in front of him, he's only got one move, and that's to pass to one of the center backs. If you watch the Swansea match again, the majority of that game was Wijnaldum receiving the ball, passing to Robertson, Robertson not getting in a cross and passing back, and then Wijnaldum passing to Van Dijk or Matip. That's the only move he has in his locker against packed defenses, barring the occasional brilliant pass--but that has to happen more often. I thought he had more of that talent, but it's not showing.

Mignolet's head is turned. Mine would be too, being dropped for a keeper who has shown no ability beyond his, or even the inkling that he will surpass him one day--and it's not like Mignolet sets the bar very high. If Mignolet isn't good enough, then neither is Karius.

Ashley is such a ****ing prick. I really think he hates Newcastle fans for some reason.

I can't even be bothered to watch Newcastle games anymore. I mean what is the point if there isn't even going to be an attempt to try to do anything on or off the pitch.

I really don't care if we are relegated this season and we stay in the Championship for a while if convinces Ashley to get the **** out.

Sturridge to West Brom on loan for the rest of the season. Best case scenario, he plays regularly, stays fit, and comes back strong to Liverpool.

Giroud apparently on the market, pending Aubameyang, to Chelsea for a paltry £15m plus bonuses. Sweep in and pay £18m, Klopp! Without Sturridge, we need a solid goal scorer and other than a lack of pace, Giroud fits the team really well. This could happen for dirt cheap.

Giroud wants to stay in London from all I've read. Not a thrilling signing, but better than Carroll or Crouch (as if that even needs to be written...). Strange days at Chelsea. Still alive in the UCL and FA Cup, fairly solid in the top 4, yet it feels like a bad season.

In other news, Usain Bolt is getting a trial with Dortmund. He looked decent in the training video I've seen, but then again so do thousands of other aspiring players.

Apparently, Aubameyang to Arsenal is done, Giroud to Chelsea, and Batshuayi to Dortmund on loan are to follow in the next few hours.

Seems like Slimani and Martin Dubravka are going to arrive at Newcastle on loan with Mitrovic and Woodman heading out on loan. Of course this being Mike Ashley we will probably some how screw all that up.

Ozil has signed a new 3.5 year contract to stay at Arsenal and be their highest paid player. Damn, I was holding out hopes of a free or cut rate transfer to Liverpool.

How we we can lose Coutinho and Sturridge in the same window and do nothing to replace them I’ll never know. I love Klopp and his transfer all seem like gold, but why are there so few? We started the season with a reasonably deep squad minus center backs, and now we don’t have one, despite still being in the Champions League and in a top four fight. Make no mistake, we haven’t booked a seat in the CL next season yet. It’s still going to be a fight.

Leicester seems to finally be clearing out their surplus strikers. Musa gone, Slimani and Ulloa look like they’re set to go. I’m sure, since it’s a loan, Ashley will be able to get it done.
