Have had this kicking around for ages...
There's not much of the chrome left, but it runs ok.

Oh, almost certainly - Never got around to finding out for sure; BUT what you're seeing is a cap over what I suspect is another (too small) replacement crown.

hmmm might see if i got one that might look better for you in the morning
do you know whether it has a tube in the case or not ?

Don't recall if there's a tube - Been in a box of 'fixer-uppers' for a few years, forgot all about it until I saw this thread earlier.

would need to know first so I can send the right type as if it not got a tube then I can send you a solid one but if it has the type where the case has a bit sticking out you need the crown with the whole ring inside if that makes sense

did you ever get round to finding out what type of crown you needed mate
