LFC-WBA yesterday was possibly the worst game I've ever watched...

I'm not blaming the loss on the ref, Liverpool were awful the entire game and did not deserve a win, but something has to be done about stoppage time. Now it just feels way too arbitrary. When a team starts delaying from minute 15 and takes forever every corner, free-kick, goal-kick or throw-in, there has to be a booking quite early and more than 3 minutes of added time... Not that it would've helped yesterday, it would've just prolonged the boredom of watching terrible football.

Same thing happened in the Chelsea/West Ham match. After getting a goal in the first 5 minutes, the Hammers were delaying with every stoppage for the next 85+ minutes. When a keeper is diving on loose balls and clutching them in a fetal position for 20 seconds and it's not even halfway through the match, the referee has to do something. Not that I blame the teams from the bottom of the table for doing it, or that Chelsea doesn't deserve the blame for the loss. But looking at it simply from a fan entertainment perspective, it's not enjoyable to anyone except perhaps a contingent of the fans of the team doing the time-wasting. Parking the bus is an acceptable strategy when playing against superior talent, but the officials can at least intervene to keep the game moving along.

There are definitely legitimate and illegitimate ways to park the bus and waste time.

I didn't see the West Brom match, but I would expect anything different.

And they ought to be after spending £250m+ on Pep's brilliant "management" this summer.

But that’s only the outcome of a previous spin of the lucky wheel.

Still, anyone can spend the money. Someone still has to make them play like a team. So it's not like I'm saying he's doing nothing.
