Don't talk to me about penalties. Or goalkeepers with head injuries.

I'm trying not to think about football this week.

The team I coach that my oldest sons play on is named the Yellowjackets, and we almost used the Watford hornet on our kit. Went with a similar patch instead:

Are we allowed to say that the shine is wearing off Jose in year two? Funny how that always seems to happen...

“Manchester United are one of the top three football clubs in the world, no doubt about it, but the football club is one thing and the team’s credentials going into a competition are another thing entirely,” he said.
“We have a giant on our chest, which is really heavy, but we don’t compare our potential to the biggest clubs in Europe right now.
“Because Manchester United is a real giant, it doesn’t matter if the club is somewhat far away from that level for three, four, five or 10 years. It doesn’t matter: the club will always be a giant.
“But our job is to try to bring the football team back to that stature. That’s really difficult these days.”
Giving himself some breathing space there.

And we're in the World Cup!
A group with both France and The Netherlands, then Italy in the playoffs.
It wasn't pretty today, but 0-0 at San Siro doesn't have to be

Great for Sweden - and well-deserved. But a World Cup without Italy? 'Tain't right...

And Everton are trying to steal Marco da Silva and Spurs are trying to steal Richarlison.
Bugger.

Congratulations to Sweden!
Crazy who isn't in the World Cup this year. USA, Chile, Netherlands, Italy. Am I missing any heavy hitters who missed out?

Well, even though I couldn't watch it, the Black Bay did its magic again. 3-0 against Southampton.
