United has done quite well with Pogba and Bailly out + a couple of other rotation players.

Thing is though, that all but one LFC-injury is on attacking players. The defense is still in shambles. Depth is not good enough.

Pogba has missed quite a few games. Bailly or other defenders have missed plenty as well during beginning of season. They are 2nd after all..

Both sorely missed, as are Rojo and Fellaini, surprisingly.

Watford have had their central defence missing for some time, plus their most important midfielder.

Defense is more than a backline. Maybe we still lose 11 v. 11. But I think it's a hell of a lot tighter.
