For some reason, when I read that, I saw "pizza" instead of pasta. I thought "Oh Geoff, I know you call some things different names over there, but this is taking it too far."

I'm stuffed - just had some spicy cheesy nachos. I put these chillies on them from a mixed batch - think they were scotch bonnets. Zingy and fresh - kinda pineappley. Anyway, I remembered that nachos don't keep or reheat well so I ate the lot which is twice more than I needed.

As I've mentioned before I live nearly a thousand miles from an ocean, 800 really but it's the Arctic Ocean, so for years I thought snapper was a horrible, bland and mushy fish. It wasn't until I visited the Caribbean that I grew to appreciate it. I still don't generally eat it here as I don't think it travels well, but yesterday I found some really nice looking snapper, so ...rundown!

Apparently I was so excited I couldn't focus the camera.

Not sure I'm able to taste the difference between similar fish that much. It all tastes good when covered in butter though.

Between similar fish I would agree, but there are vast differences too. Sole and halibut for instance. I have a strong preference for firm, oily fish- all members of the salmon family (especially char), tuna, mackerel, anchovies etc. After that I favour firm lean, such as lion fish, cod and halibut, over oily but not firm, such as snapper. At the bottom of the list is not firm and lean, such as sole. Below that we get the fish I will not eat- tilapia and basa. I consider them the Coors Light of fish. They are bland and flaccid and what little tiny bit of flavour they have is ...unpleasant.

But it's tuna, so that's OK.
