think i could be wrong but they are more associated with more arctic countries as classed as a alpine plant suitable to arctic tundras by all accounts tried to grow alpine plants in a rockery but had mixed results

I just got back from a three hour lunch with friends at Devon Seafood. Great restaurant. A chain with a few locations. I had a bowl of lobster bisque, crab cakes, whipped potatoes, and asparagus risotto. Delicious.

Strangest thing about the meal? The waiter took the bisque off the bill. He's only been my waiter once or twice before. That's nice. I definitely tipped him very well. He also took my soda off, but he's done that before and soda is dirt cheap for restaurants anyway.

They're really nice. Not very sweet, but instead a bit tart but still juicy and flavourful. As ismy said grows mainly in arctic settings.
Great for jams and marmalades. Lovely marinated in a bit of booze with vanilla ice cream.

Oh, it was very good. I didn't take any pictures because the company was too good to be bothered.

Interesting the things that grow in places. The world is full of wonder indeed.

But even I'm lovely when marinated in booze and accompanied by vanilla ice cream.

You also prefer the cold to the heat. Perhaps you're a cloudberry in disguise?
