One of my friends is a real beer nut. We went out yesterday and tried some different things. Many local brews, but also some international beers.

He had brought some Trillium. Not bad but not totally sure the addition of Sauvignon blanc grape juice added much. (not my pic)


Also Wylam (Newcastle). Really good (also not my pic)


Still nothing topped the Warpigs Parking lot Zamboni. One of the best (if not the best) Imperial IPA I've ever had.


And yes, I'm a bit "tired" today.

So I was just in Wisconsin for the 4th holiday and I tried some Canoe Paddler from this brewery. Very crisp and refreshing for the summer.

You should try the Summer Shandy. It's not as good as a European radler, but it's pretty good. Lemonade-y.

Summer hols have started with drinks

First a mix of a few drinks. No name yet. Suggestions welcome
1*part*gin
1 part aperol
1/2 part lemon juice
1/2 part triple sec
1/2 - 1 part sugar syrup (depending on how sweet you want it)
Shake with ice and strain into glass
