Yeah, did I mention that my next car is likely to be an auto too?! That's what the missus wants. And having her drive means I can drink, and not have to ferry her everywhere, which outweighs the joy of driving stick. The i3 is of course, but the diesels I'm looking at come in auto too.

Did I mention that I test drove the i3? Its rapid off the line! Faster to 40 than an m3. Silent, which is odd.

It's fine - probably preferably to a diesel, range woes notwithstanding..obviously I'd prefer an m3 but that's not feasible.
