Such a shame once you add a number plate to an Alfa. In the UK, anyway.

Although, something like that might be beneficial for my brother's garage, so he can know the exact spot to stop. His new car's trunk doesn't clear the mangle of the garage door when the door is open if he's not pulled in a certain amount.

A tennis ball on a string would be a lot cheaper.

Yup, I once used something similar on a string.

That is basically what I use. I have a ball on a string that they sell at Home Depot in the garage door opener area. Not as critical now that our cars are shorter, but still good to know.
    Cheers,

Probably. But something similar that guides the tire location would also help with the ideal placement of the car for the width of the garage, not just the length.

Just drive in straight with the offside wing mirror 1" from the door frame. That's what I used to do with a tight garage.

A Brian Griffin on a string is more effective

Problem is that the garage isn't the same width all the way through. It narrows in the last few feet. And, for my car, there's a very inconveniently placed hose spigot that makes parking even my little car in there a placement-intense ordeal, else I'll hit it with my door when I go to open it. They just did not do a good job designing this garage.
