Excellent point! We had a memorable picnic in Avignon several years back. Stopped by a cheese shop, charcuterie and a bakery for a baguette. Opened a Côte du Rhone and enjoyed the afternoon by the Pont d'Avignon.

I'd kill for that teak furniture!
If I had the wherewithal, my whole house would be midcentury.

Our house was built 1960 (by previous owner). When renovating/decorating we've tried to incorporate plenty of 60's pieces. Tables, bookshelves and sideboards in teak.

A salt bagel with cream cheese, smoked salmon, capers, and red onions may be my favorite breakfast ever.

I miss good bagels here. You can only get the packaged crap. And only the three standard flavors, plain, blueberry (an abomination), and cinnamon raisin (that's why there's cin/raisin bread!).
No salt, no savory, and when you ask for egg they look at you like you're insane.
