    **** Fantasy Dial ****

We all come across watches we instinctively know are not what they should be so we stay clear but on the other hand, then you have what can only be described as a fantasy dial these come in many forms that will become clear as the thread goes on but to start with .

My thoughts are on marriage watches and by that I mean a old movement some time old dials and new cases for the most part old pocket watches converted to wrist watches we see these all the time quite highly price too seen one very similar to one I did wanting a couple of hundred for that when in pocket watch form they are worth about £50 quid so there must be a need for them I find them fun if well made as new / old mix a fantasy dial as you would ..

They can be quite fun I have converted a few old pocket watches by updating them in to new wrist watch cases but keep all things apart from the case and stem original for my pleasure and I have recent got a fantasy dial / hands and case so this will be the first time I will just use a old movement the rest will be all new so to me it is different from a conversion ...

Anyway my points is what do we think of them ? I have seen a lot coming out of the eastern block country's some with names on the dial I would not necessary believe was what they say .. ( I may put up one if I think it has any charm or look to it but not going to say whether it is what it is, not my place to make that call thou might have a opinion on it if asked )

My thought was any that looked a bit special or different I might post pic's here just for fun as some are rather good looking or well design
Take the one at the top of this thread I feel new apart from movement but just my gut on that

    As always Ismy
