    I used to bake my own bread, but that was a very long time ago. I was in my twenties, and lived waaay up in the Rockies. You had to bake your own. Wood fired stoves.

    What tics me off, I just went through the member pics thread a couple of days ago, and with all the food and bread you make, you're not huge!

    It gives me something to shoot for. Gotta get off the processed, easy crapola I v e gotten used to.

    I think you've hit the nail on the head there. I do have a naturally high metabolism but what most likely saves me is that we make almost everything ourselves, even some condiments. It makes a big difference.

    I have the inverse problem. I make almost everything from scratch here also, but I am always struggling with my weight. On the other hand I struggle to feed my wife enough that she doesn't lose weight, so I mostly chalk it up to my slow metabolism.
    Too many watches, not enough wrists.
