    I ran a 9.7@146 1/4 on my 2002 Busa with about $1000 in mods. 6.2@116.9 in the 1/8.

I'm 15 stone, but very little fat so none taken squire. My 125 is fast to 30, not to 60 - probably takes 15 seconds, even with a skinny person on. However, it's still more fun than my bimmer.

It's really about straddling the line between a wheelie and wheelspin.

Gorgeous, but I wouldn't trust myself with a bike like that.

A customer of mine has just rolled up in/on a Yamaha R1 which he's had since new (some 18 years ago)

    Meh, it's only a bike

Does it tell the time ? .... NO!

Busas scare me. I like cars where you have to work for the performance; all art is suffering and all accomplishment is only worth it if it takes effort. Busas make obscene speed too easy (and it's not the only thing in the world that's like that; I have issues with some cars too). Street Twin has 55hp, which doesn't seem like enough to kill yourself via sneeze.

Last time I saw one, it was scattered on I95 for over a mile and the rider was in a body bag at the end of the debris.

R1s are sweet. I always loved those. Years back there was a motorcycle racing game made by the Gran Turismo people call Tourist Trophy. The R1 and R6 were two of my favorite bike in that game. I love the big headlamps of that era:

Of course, I think my two favorite bikes are the Triumph Thruxton:

And the discontinued Ducati Sport 1000 (the bike Sam Flynn rode in Tron: Legacy):

I apparently have a type when it comes to bikes.
