Well, her description of lasagne is a cake with meatballs and spaghettios inside, so I wonder if she's ever actually had one...

If that is what a lasagne was, I wouldn't like it either. But a lasagne is actually a bunch of great with awesome inside, so everyone should eat it.

Probably the favourite meal around Chez Hank at the moment. Green banana curry with halibut.

Did you add the banana just for the halibut?

Ar, ar, ar...I'm laughing like a seal.

If serious, no. This is a legit Asian recipe. They tend to cook the fish into the curry. I prefer to sear it, serve it on top and dip it into the sauce as I go. The banana has to be really green and do not substitute plantain.

Funny how plantains and bananas are so closely related but can't substitute for each other most of time.

When boating however, leave both plantains and bananas on the dock or the second SPLASH you hear will be you hitting the water after the captain has tossed the evil fruit overboard!

So true. I would never use banana as a substitute for fried plantain either.

Because mangoes were on sale by the case load. Mangoes macerated in marsala, argula and serrano ham.
