Yes markets are fun for those things. I should use them more.

Here the winter's are so harsh the farmer's market is root vegetables around this time of year. In the last few years it has greatly expanded it's products though, so virtually all our meat comes from there and there is finally a hydronponic operation, so any greens I want that I don't grow are available.

Pork roast with oyster mushroom sauce, fennel and carrot pilaf and beets poached in blood orange juice. I ate too much.

You must spend a lot of time cooking, Hank! I had a ready meal lasagne last night. Was... fine.

I find cooking relaxing too, though it's probably the claret I drink whilst doing so. Washing up, not so much. I need to insist on cooking more, it's just that the wife gets hungry early, and I'm often not back till a bit later.

    Always must lubricate the chef.
Too many watches, not enough wrists.

    Absolutely.
If the chef wasn't imbibing, he would never have looked at a escargot slimeing up the wall of the toillet, while on a Gauloises and Batard Montratchet break, and said: "I wonder if anyone would eat that if I put it in some of this wine?"
