12 Year Old Glenlivet. Today was unpleasant, so it's a Scotch with dinner kind of night.
It looks like I inadvertently made a mistake in my previous post. It was the 12YO Glenlivet I was referring to, not the 15YO. Your post just helped me notice the error.

Glad I could be of assistance

Having had both, I'd say both are great. But for Cost vs Value, I tend towards 12 year old. In my opinion it's decent for the money.

I like the build your own deals around here...the pumpkin isn't bad, but wouldn't buy a bunch of it.

Then I think you may want to give the founder's reserve a try. Maybe even better CvV, depending on your taste. A bit fruitier (I'm thinking port casks, maybe) and spicier. Very mild peat.

Just finished this off. Astonishingly good if you're into Petite Sirah, and have enough patience to lay it down this long...

And if it's a little too dry for one's tastes a Twizzler takes care of both problems.

I don't even want to tell you what my sister-in-law does. My friend wanted to throw her out of his restaurant once. He's a bit intense about wines, but still she had me rolling my eyes.
