    Mussels in a cream and white wine sauce to start, veal and walnut pesto ravioli for main, washed down with a nice house red. Cheap too! A pistachio tirimisu for desert and Irish coffee to finish.

    Thanks! Good find, by the trail. The two chanterelles actually weighed out to 3/4 Kg (14 and 11 oz. each). That would have cost about $40 in local markets. Time to convert that into watch money I think.

    Started my day by throwing the cured duck into the smoker, the bread into the oven and when it was done, this:

    French style omelette with fines herbes and chevre with some of the potato chive multigrain bread.
