Once in awhile you get shown the light in the strangest of places if you look at it right.

Thin, almost watery, for a bourbon. Rye woody spice on the front end and the roof of the mouth, it sort of disappears in the middle and then returns with a bourbon finish remeniscent of Woodford's.
If this had more in the middle I'd probably like it a fair bit, but it lacks both the syrupy warmth that a bourbon or the dry heat that a rye usually fills that gap with.

I love Woodford's and I can see how an extra-aged version of that style could fall empty. A shame. I might recommend some of the older W.L. Weller's for maintaining that center-palate. I had a bottle of 21 year Weller's and it was magical. I wish it lasted longer. () With that falling then, I think you must already be aware of Eagle Rare? It's quite nice.
Too many watches, not enough wrists.

Yes. I didn't buy the Eagle Rare because I have already had it in my house and I do like it. I'll have to see if I can find the Weller's. The bourbon selction has gotten much better in these parts lately. Oddly, for a Canadian town, we still fall short on good ryes.

I'm not any kind of wine drinker but this somehow found itself on my palette...
Please to excuse my hideous photography. It's a Foradori Myrto '09 in case you can't decypher the label.

The Weller 21 is so hard to get, almost like Pappy in these parts as far as scarcity. I've yet to land a bottle.

For anyone who has ever thought of me as a wine snob.
The glass cost more than the box. Dammit, I just proved I AM a wine snob! Who else would spend so much on stem ware?
