I was just looking at Certina divers. Some auto Chrono's on there too and seem reasonable? I guess duties will be added on automatically.

I'm not sure about the Stieny if I'm honest. Quality piece but not loving the dial..looks a little too 'printy' and the clasp doesn't curve very well and tends to stick out a little! Great case and bracelet etc but not really feeling it, shame as it cost €500

I'm going to consider it till after Christmas and might move it on, getting fussy in my old age 

Sometimes it takes a while to bond with a watch, it took me ages to feel the love for the Deep blue N300 but now i love it!

You're probably right, I do miss a rotating bezel on it.

I was going to go for the stieny Pepsi GMT but went for the vintage instead. Don't get me wrong it's a lovely watch and feels great...I seem to be hitting a wall regarding watches just now, can't find anything mid range that's jumping at me and can't afford a Seamaster 😀

I don't want quick fixes anymore either, can't justify a dozen < €400 watches and want 5/6 nicer pieces. Pound for pound I don't think Stienhart are any better quality than Seiko!!

    Quandary time for me

not just you me to and sharky and chico and lee and all on here think we all have got to a point where we have tried the rest now it's times to find the one ... but we just got to get over the hurdle of that price point as when I look at a few more expensive one's I see all the things I need to do with the money within the house ...

but at the same time the fun joblots and the like have some what lost there appeal that why at the minute am in lets clear the cupboards and start again mood with the exception of a few pieces it's all going

Totally agree with you there mate. I was looking at the collection yesterday trying to choose which watch to wear for work and realised that out of the 20 in my watch box I'm picking the same 5 or 6. Also apart from the Dan Henry 63 what I really want is a speedy moon watch and for me that would really be stepping it up a gear. Unfortunately at the moment and for the foreseeable future a speedy is well out of my grasp

unless the fourteen or so none wearing one goes to help fund it have been doing that a lot of late with sharkys help I would not have the 3133's or the IWl or the promaster if it was not for selling other watches to fund it my thought why have watches sitting in the draw not being use where they can fund one or two that would. so most you would take some lost or gain on but either way it all helps plus keeps your missus of your back ....
