Beef, charred on pimento wood, with green bananas and callaloo. This was one of the best pieces of beef I have ever eaten.

This has officially solidified my preference for ribeye over fillet

That my mate works for the restaurant and that it was free was a nice bonus.

    Salivating ⬆️

Fillet is overrated imo. Sure a properly prepared Tournedos rossini is nice. But ribeye or even flank done right is a thing of beauty. Meat needs a bit of fat to really come alive.

I was feeling a little overindulged yesterday, so I had small amounts of generally lighter fare- poached egg and fruit for breakfast (and a really big exercise only swim), a grilled tomato and basil sandwich for lunch and a shrimp and scallop calzone for supper. The calzone was really good. It seems to me that the Caribbean countries are generally good at dairy and the cheese in the calzone was no exception to the belief.

Feeling more balanced today so- Back to the smoked marlin, spicy mussels and what have you.

It's all about balance. And cheese toasties - I'm a little obsessed with them.

It's awful. As are many bizarre concoctions that are passed as 'sushi' these days. Just because you stick it into your face with chopsticks doesn't make it sushi.

Amazing how it manages to stay in the bowl while upside down.
Too many watches, not enough wrists.

Yes, it's difficult to eat in the southern hemisphere when you're from The Great White North.
