    that's what got me know more on older watches then the newer ones as most of the modern I have had have been brand new hence working well and no need for me to open and mess with them. so don't get to look at the movement as much so could miss these things but thinking about it now don't they have to be clearly stamp now to be allowed to be sold abroad ?
