It's autumn and to a displaced New Englander that means---cranberries!
I'll eat cranberries with just about anything.
The first taste this year, cranberry/lemon (I didn't have an orange) pancakes. Slathered with good butter and just a bit of Vermont maple syrup.
What a Sunday breakfast. I'm only missing some delicious pork product for a side.

No pictures unfortunately, but last night I went to a place called Oyster House--they do a raw bar happy hour on Saturdays, so I had about two dozen Bull's Eye oysters (they were okay) and a dozen and a half Cherrystone clams (which were delicious) for dinner.

No point starting a thread for this but .......

While in southern Italy, i wanted to eat the best pizza i could find.
The concierge told me about a place so i tried it.
OMG it was incredible but i cried coming back knowing it would be a while until i could eat there again.

    Well, the incredible has happened.
They are opening a branch right here in London.

L’Antica Pizzeria da Michele is coming to London

I'm trying to think of the best pizza I've had. Probably one I made myself tbh...

For me it's a place called Antico in Atlanta. The best.

It's not bad. I have a different thought of how crust should be, but I think everyone needs to try Antico. When they are spot on, Harvest Moon in Albany, GA makes the best darn pizza.

A pizzeria near me was recently named best in the country. Pizzeria Beddia. I've never been, they seem like douchebags. They sell a fixed number of pizzas a night--just 40. They're served as first come, first serve; they have no phone and take no orders other than from the people who are waiting in line. They say people start to line up 2 hours before the place opens. They can go to hell; I'm not waiting in line two hours for a ****ing pizza. I've had amazing pizza from multiple places in Philadelphia--the best "regular" pie (you know, with regular toppings like pepperoni and stuff) comes from a place called Rustica and the best "gourmet" (weird shit on it) comes from a Vetri restaurant I've eaten at a few times called Osteria (I used to live basically above it, actually; my old apartment building and the restaurant share a building. Dinner at Osteria was how I found my place). My favorite was the Lombardo; it used to be made with a quail egg in the center and veal sausage, but now it seems like it may be a chicken egg and cotechino sausage. They also have a pie with octopus and smoked mozzarella.

They do sound like douchebags. Who named them the best pizzeria?
