Yeah the bike is on finance (standard geoffbot) at £100 a month plus 30 a month insurance so it would have to go. I'll still keep all my gear (I can't legally resell my £170 helmet) and do my full test so I'm good to go when I want.

Well that could be the shortest biking career ever. My missus works in Brighton and I now do too with my new job. I bought the bike as parking is free whereas the car isn't. My missus has commandeered lifts from me on Mondays and Tuesdays instead of her getting the bus - she pays for the parking. But that's 40% of my week - the bike and insurance monthly costs more. Getting rid of the bike and parking every day on a season ticket would be cheaper.

To be fair the bike is a right faff - especially if I have a meeting and need my suit, and want to go to the gym after work (there's only so much a rucksack can hold). Maybe when I'm richer I can get one for the weekend cos they're much fun.

The good news is I can probably look at upgrading the car again.

I haven't decided 100% but it's looking likely.

You could always get an old Japanese bike to tinker with. Motorcycle tech hasn't changed that much over the years.

Or I'll just keep the bike - the thought of getting rid of it makes me sad. Then do my licence and get an r6 - I think I want a supersports bike. The new one is nice

But I couldn't afford one, and insurance is 2k a year... A 10 year old one would do, and costs the same as my 125 so it's a free upgrade
