There's no such thing as a cool electric car. They're all gussied up golf carts.

Guess you haven't test driven a tesla in ludicrous mode. Neither have I.

Still wouldn't do it for me. More to it than pure, quiet acceleration. I would consider an electric or hybrid as a daily, but only for economic driving, nothing fun.

Fast isn't cool necessarily. Tons of fast cars. Very few cool cars.

Cool cars have spirit and romance; they invoke fantasy and visions of adventure in the mind. No adventure comes with a charging station and a hotel stay every 200 miles. Batteries aren't romantic. Electric cars are appliances.

Agree also to an extent , but I wouldn't mind a tesla for the afternoon to take the tyres down to the cloth

You still need that rort of an engine noise to go with the power.

This still looks fun though, apart from the inane laughing of the first woman

I've driven the Tesla--it is crazy quick off the line, and crazy quiet, but otherwise not particularly engaging.

Not that I have a thing for American muscle cars, thought you guys might appreciate this. It's my uncle's car - 1968. He has two of them!! The other one is white and in worse shape that he is restoring.

I have another uncle who is having (or is compete now, not sure) a 1969 Plymouth RoadRunner. I can't remember the exact color code, but it's like an ice metallic blue.

That is amazing, gnuyork. It was my dream car in high school.
