Should be on the road before Christmas as it's quicker here than in London. I need to get out of the office and do something less stressful, so even if it's only for a few years it'll give me time to see what else is about.

I'm done with having a phone that doesn't stop all day, evening, weekend and all through my holidays with calls, emails and texts. Also done with 15 hour days door to door and unrealistic expectations of what can be achieved. Money's nice, but no good if I have a breakdown!

A few mates are cabbies and they all love it and do well enough...

    Time for a lifestyle change!
Good for you, my friend. I'm afraid that will only happen for me when I retire, but that day is almost in sight on the horizon...

Wow! what a cool day at the British Car Fayre. So many cool and classic cars. It was overwhelming. My favorite are the old Austin Healeys, a green Jag 120, and a green Lotus Elan S2 (also my favorite). More pictures later:

These cars survived better in America. Winter road salt dissolved them over here.

    Or so I once read.

Pretty certain that has gone through a extensive restoration. They rot here just as well in many areas. The one thing I know from restoring a few older British cars was the chrome on them holds up better than any other vehicle. The rest of the car would be rotter away, but once you get the crud off of the chrome it was usually unpitted and shiny.

So, I barely use my polo any more (as I have a bike) and I'm paying 190 a month for it. Should I buy this instead?
