    thought they went counter clockwise on a diver so if the bezel slips it would be giving divers less time then to much if that makes sense

    A countdown bezel is quite useful. If it moves you can set it to see how long you have till a fixed time.
    If it doesn't move, who knows?
    Probably as useful as a tachymeter scale without a stopwatch function
