    pick this one up in a mixed lot as faulty got it working grand but don't have a clue to what it is in reference to so it's a mechanical Russian watch that all I know would love to have some one enlighten me to all info on it ? something to do with air and space maybe ?

    Well i'm really clutching at straws here 1st it says 50 years Have not worked out rest yet . The case is very Raketa i've looked at a lot of others and the crown is small and close to the case . Any chance of a movement pic? DW.

    Looks like Raketa to me as well. The tower on the case is St Peter and Paul Fortress St Petersburg (which was Leningrad in 1942.)

    Well i think it's to commemorate the Yakoulev fighter planes maybe .The silhouette of the small plane looks similar to a Yak-9 fighter / bomber from 1942 and i think the other is Yakoulev too . But not 100% on any of this . DW.

    (*) "Aerial Army" is in genitive so the endings may not be what appears in a dictionary.

    Generally speaking, if it is a piece of military hardware, or a date of military significance, it will have shown up on a watch dial.

    Looks like Raketa Big Zero case and movement with different dial and hands.

    well it looks like the one from the ebay except it's got silver hands instead of black hands
