Liverpool definitely needs a left back. If not just for depth, someone to challenge Moreno and force him to raise his game.

    Not challenge, replace.

He's now had a full off-season with Klopp and still does the same stupid things defensively. I say bring in someone else and let Moreno play a bit in the under-23s.

    Perhaps.

The thing that gets me is that he looked much better in preseason. I think it's mental.

I'm certain it's mental. Physically he has the tools. But he needs to calm down, learn to think defense first and see that you don't need to try and make spectacular challenges every time you try to win the ball.

Look at some of the best fullbacks, they very rarely leave their feet. They wait and cover as the first option.

Right. But I think, as much as anything, he needs to see a sports psychologist. It's not just training. There also needs to be someone who can take over the role, but not someone who leaves him dejected. Like the Karius/Mignolet situation. Just having Karius on the team has made Mignolet better. He looked more confident when coming after the ball, and then there was the a Cruyff turn.

What's Fabio Coentrao up to these days? Jonas Hector would be both an immediate and long term solution, but Coentrao would be a lot more affordable. Let's not forget that we need a right back too, someone who can back up Clyne. I would love, love, love, to see DeAndre Yedlin come in as a backup to Nathaniel Clyne.

There was a rumour about Coentrao. But apparently he's injured

Of course he is. Can't catch a break with injuries. It's almost like being an Arsenal fan.

City were awesome last night away in Bucharest in CL- 0-5 !! and saying that Aguero missed two penalties and we hit the bar maybe three times - could have easily been a record score given those and many other close hits -

I am always amazed when top class footballers miss a penalty.

It is so easy unless the goalkeeper goes the right way but even then.
