    On tarmac - it's a style choice.
I imagine I'll be in a gravel parking lot or two.

And snow. It'll be my snow car.

Ffs - my polos warning lights came on - epc engine management, tpm tyre pressure, and esp stability control, and it started juddering. Took it to the shop - ignition lead was gone or something. £380. The warranty ran out in March! And it was serviced in April. Not cool.

    The cars and bikes thread!

Got my new car on Friday. The new Kia Sportage. Automatic, 2.0 Diesel. Choose their GT line so comes with almost all the extras. Taken me 4 days just to get all options set in the different menus. Remember when you could just get in a new car and drive, now there's all sorts of choices you have to make. Lane assistance on or off, emergency brake assistance, sounds, warnings and on and on...

Very happy so far. Had a VW Golf variant (Estate in the US iirc) earlier so this is a bit bigger. If nothing else you sit a lot higher up (reason wife wanted a SUV).

Only driven in the city so far so will be interesting to see where the mileage will end up and how it will drive on the open road. Comfort is top notch though and impressed at quality of the interior. Not up to Audi, BMW or Mercedes standards of course. But feels on par if not above the equivalent VW.

You should have pushed them for a goodwill warranty claim, they have leeway to be nice ..... if you ask/push it of course

I asked, he said no, I said fair enough. Then he called me back an hour later and said yes to the ignition coil! Not the lead which I just have to pay 70 quid for, but I just saved myself 310 quid. Thanks for the advice Mike 👍

As my mother always said, "If you don't ask, you don't get."

My Passat 1.8T had issues with ignition coils. Annoying.

Congratulations! Kia and Hyundai have really upped their game in recent years, they're putting out really good products now. I'm sure it'll serve you faithfully.

Nice! My coils were always covered when they went, even past warranty.

I can't believe they're still having issues with ignition coils. What engine does your car have?
