    Three of my favourite basic ingredients are Fatty fish, lentils and bitter greens, in no particular order. When the fish is halibut or salmon, the lentils are cannellini beans and the greens are mustard and/or arugula the combination can be magical.

    Looks just like a piece of fish to me. He wouldn't put it in a pie yet not mention that just for the halibut.

    Geoff is correct. It is a portion of hallibut, pan fried in a cast iron skillet.
