Trying to show the dial depth of this Chanel J12 Chromatic H2979. Hard to capture, but in 3D it's pretty darn dynamic.

    Thanks, Henry.

I'm wearing my vintage three handers less and less often. I always was - and still am - more of a chronograph's fan. That doesn't mean I can't appreciate simpler, more classic designs. But maybe my tastes are going back to my youth or, in other words: a traditional middle-age crisis, perhaps ...who knows?!

Thanks William. Blue flowers often love acid, so I harvest pine needles from my front yard and scatter them around my many blue flowers.

Tastes change. I used to hate every chronograph made and then I bought my Eterna Moonphase on a whim. Now I own several and covet a few more, but I may be moving towards simpler things. Maybe even a two hander. It may be how we keep ourselves interested in... well, anything.

I had done six hours of yard work by 11:00 this morning. Now I am prepping for a long evening/night of sitting on the deck eating and drinking and maybe lighting a fire. How am I prepping? By having lunch al fresco.

    Two handers can be satisfying:

But - why not go all the way to a one-hander?

I particularly like the 24-hour style, with 12 at the top:

Now, if I could only get one of these in manual-wind, sans Date.

I am not against one handers, Ken. I already have one and if a Schauer one hander came up at the right price I would snap it up in an instant. Here is my Meistersinger:

Yes, I have my eye on that one. Does it come without a date (and without a papered-over date wheel)?
