I've been big on birch syrup lately. In fact I had it on my French toast yesterday morning.

We might, but this came from uncle Sam. Some maple syrup isn't sweet enough imo. This was great.

Don't try birch syrup then. I like it because it is less sweet than maple syrup.

Been out for a while so I'll jump back in with a few.

    1. What do you do when your neighbor brings you over a platter of crawfish when you're already committed to steak that night? Peel and save for crawfish quesadillas later...

    2. Quick pic from my birthday dinner. The wine choices can be seen here... bu11itt’s ’81 tasting

    3. Finally, probably one of the best looking steaks I've grilled from last week.

Beef koftas, roast courgette, coleslaw, wedges, chimichurri sauce, harissa hummus - all homemade; couscous, flatbread and haloumi not entirely homemade, but prepared.

Yes, very good indeed. I try to get a little more red in mine. With a good sea salt and pepper, it is all good.

    Thanks for sharing!

Apparently my food has been on a purple kick lately.

German inspired purple potato hash, lemon butter chicken, and a parsley and almond salad.
