Look, it's not like you can win every game. No team can do that. Not even Barcelona. But to drop two points in such a manner is embarrassing. This was never going to be an easy match, and Liverpool was killing it first half, and then the big mistake from Mignolet, and the poor clearances that led to the second goal. This wasn't the worst thing to happen, as long as we beat Villareal on Thursday I won't care much about this result.

Cracking Cup semi-final today. Open, enterprising football and more chances than you might see in a dozen matches. Right, result, obviously.

And tomorrow - The Mighty Hornets.

I think that cup semi final pretty much finishes Martinez's Everton career off.

Football managers are so stubborn, all Martinez teams have always been terrible in defence, yet he does nothing about it, all he had to do was get help in from an experienced defensive coach. John Stones has gone backwards this year because of Martinez.

Brendan Rodgers suffered from the same stubbornness. Makes you think these managers want to get sacked to get their huge contract payoff and a clean slate with a new club

Guess it's more than Vardy that makes a team. 4-0 win, now 8 points up on Spurs (who play tomorrow; let's go West Brom!). I'm pulling for these guys. A loss for Spurs and a win at United mean that Leicester can clinch next week. But I won't count on that just yet.

Why oh why was Benitez not brought in at Newcastle earlier we might have been able to survive if he had of been brought in a little sooner.

I don't see us catching Sunderland (as much as it pains me to say that) cause they have an inconsistent Stoke City with nothing to play for, Chelsea with nothing to play for, Everton with nothing to play for and Watford with nothing to play for left. Whereas with we have Crystal Palace, Aston Villa and Tottenham left. That is six realistic possible points for us versus at least 8 realistic points for Sunderland.
