It sure is!
Yes, quite a way from stock - almost everything - brakes, exhaust, short block, head (ported and polished from Jim Clayton) with upgraded internals - forged pistons, ferrea valves etc., transmission, fuel sender, baffled oil pan, Sector toe link brace, Super Charger, cold air intake, Kold Fire tune, and so on. I'm sure I've left stuff out.... The only thing stock is the suspension which was upgraded from the Lotus Sport division to adjustable Ohlins which are SUPER Nice - best thing about the car. I can't imagine a better suspension set up. It has also been corner balanced.
All in all, a very fun car, but it's no daily driver, ha ha.

I must say, modifying an Elise makes almost no sense to me. Now, I'm pretty down on modifying in general, but when I drove an Elise for the first time, I couldn't imagine wanting to change a thing. It was perfect from factory, in my opinion.

I'm completely surprised (stunned really), that there is not ONE...but there are TWO Elise owners on this forum!!!(gnuyork, that is one incredibly HOT Elise, and I saw ml's incredibly HOT Elise earlier in this thread).
My wife treated me to a "Dream Drive" b-day present a few years ago where we spent the entire day driving 6 hot drives over the twisty roads of the Colorado Rocky Mountains and the Lotus Elise was included in the lineup (the 6 car lineup included the Lotus Elise, Porsche 911, Corvette ZO6, Dodge Viper, Lamborghini Gallardo, and Ferrari F430).
An absolutely stunning (and ultra-lightweight/fun) car to drive.
Here's the Elise we carved the mountain roads in: (seriously thought about picking up a reasonably priced/preowned model after the drive...an absolute hoot to drive)!!!
