No, I think you're right. His personality has been more exposed over the last year or two - less concealing charm, more unpleasantness. According to a recent newspaper article, his method of motivating individual players is to foster rivalries within the squad. That's too Machiavellian for many tastes. He's a shrewd football tactician but the personal politics is tiresome and can be toxic.

He might well gather more points than Van Gaal but I'd still be saddened by his appointment at United. Trouble is, there aren't many really convincing alternatives. I'd give Giggs a chance to fail.

judge for yourself i think that could be described as 'improper conduct ' and add to that the verbal abuse of a player -quite right he should be sanctioned further -just a shame these cards for diving have started to come so late in the season - a straight red for diving would make the cheats think about it
