Sweetener (honey), fat, and milk powder are things I do not use in bread, but they are all hear in my version of prairie Mom brown bread. Hot turkey "sammich" on the horizon.

That looks really nice, and that is a compliment from me. For whatever reason, I never took to turkey. I'll eat the legs and that is about it. But those pics make it look almost tasty!

    Thanks,

    Dan

    Thanks Dan.

Turkey is it's own thing. We once had a cat that would not touch turkey. It is big and lean and can be very, very dry. Or tough. Or both. I can see how a person might not like it.

As a burger though, turkey kills chicken, Always. If you must make a burger out of a bird.

I'm not a turkey guy either--until I had it smoked. Game changer.

I have been warming up to the deep fried version. I can smoke it in the Big Green Egg (BGE), but I swear it is better fried. Then again, isn't everything?

Not to "curse" my parents, but when I was growing up, they made me bake chicken (oven or gas grill with no smoke) several times a week while they both worked. Grant it, the potatoes in the pan were delicious. If it is not fried or in wing form with extra hot death sauce, I am not going to order/eat it (chicken).

    YMMV,

    Dan

i love turkey. I could eat grilled turkey thighs every week, so juicy and flavourful!

I love around Christmas and thanksgiving, as ide from all the whole turkeys that are sold, the butchers sell parts as well for those that have no need for a whole bird. One part that no one wants are the wngs, but turkey wings are just as good as chicken wings, and at those times you can buy them fresh and delicious for a song.
It is now my duty to completely drain you.
