Well, I don't have a Ferrari, but I did get the Lotus out of storage today.

The last time I was in Edmonton there was a pothole in front of the police station big enough to swallow more than a couple F-250s. Of course Saskatoon is no better.

Yeah, that threw me off. The last pic is clearly a classic, older Ferrari, but the top two pics are much more modern.

This is my favorite depiction of Edmonton Roads. Just about right, to be honest. Though this year should be a bit better since it never really got all that cold over the winter...

Also - I have no idea why this is happening to me - but I'm really beginning to love Volvos. We bought my wife a preowned XC70 a while back. And I find it just a fantastic car. To the point where I'm finding excuses to take it, instead of my 6 speed Mazda 3 (which is certainly the more enthusiast-centered / driving experience prioritized vehicle). Is this the male form of nesting?

You're getting old and boring now. Next step is hiking your pants up to your armpits and complaining about how music is too loud these days.

I do have a long list of grievances and complaints that I'd like someone to deal with.

And khakis are quickly becoming my pant of choice. Though I've not yet begun to hike them up.

But seriously there's something pretty cool about wagons like this. Swallow all my gear with no complaints while having nearly 300 HP, and AWD at your disposal.

I do kinda wish it had a stick shift. But I'm also not at all convinced that it needs one, or that I really miss it.

It also reminds me of my first car - an 88 Toyota Corolla (though that one had a 5 speed). So there's probably a little reminiscing going on here too. That Toyota is still my 'most-loved' car of the ones I've owned.

Hell no. Turbo Volvos are awesome because no one expects them. The V70s are surprising fun cars to drive too (at least the older T5) I have driven.

Yeah, this XC70 is surprisingly quick. It's the T6 with something like 285 hp. And with AWD - it's quick if you want it to be. When i eventually get rid of my 3, I think a new V70 T6 will be on my short list.

I mean, an 850R, S60R, V70R, yeah, those are cool (though I don't think we ever got the 850R with a stick in the US, which is annoying), and some older Volvos are cool too, but ever since the China takeover, modern Volvos have lost their allure.

My friend had an S60 T5 before getting a Volkswagen CC. While he really enjoyed the S60, he loves his CC. The S60 was kind of fragile and very expensive to fix.
