Dumbbell presses are also much safer to use than normal benching if you like to go heavy in my experience.

I do a tri-set of close grip push-ups to failure then jump on the bench and rep out a set of dumbbell presses with medium weight, or use my kettle bells with my hands parallel to my body, then finish with a set of extended dumbbell flyes.

I do that for five sets and my chest is smoked. The best thing is you don't need heavy weight if you don't pause much between sets.

    Love dumbbell presses.

Have not benched pressed for at least five years and my chest is far stronger and more flexible thanks to the balance and coordination it takes to do a dumbbell press properly

At my new job 6 guys go to my new gym at lunch and the guy I sit next to has his own range of protein powder. I think I'm going to like it here.

Got my squat comfortably up to 130kg now. I don't care if my legs get bigger (not what I want) - I just love squatting.

Finally signed up for Strava - at the urging of a couple friends. So, now, I get to follow a bunch of hyper-achieving cyclists and runners put up insane numbers, while I plod along. Fun times.

In all seriousness, it looks like a really cool way of tracking your activity, and noting improvements in performance over time.

Did my first long swim in a while - managed to get a full mile in the pool done, no stopping. Maintaining a respectable pace. Which is good, because I'm doing a bunch of diving and surfing over the summer - and need to be comfortable in the water.

Love swimming. Excellent work out and really works everything. I try to swim at least twice a week for some of my cardio when possible.

Agreed - I've been trying to hit twice a week, minimum of a kilometre each time. I wish I could do it more reliably - but the one thing I don't like about swimming... the only thing... is the time it takes to get to the pool, change, swim, dry off, change and drive home. Compared to the out the door running or cycling I can do for cardio otherwise. or weights I can do just upstairs.

Worth it though - swimming, as I look at it, is also a skill that could very well save your life one day.

I did shoulders 2 days in a row in error because I forgot. I think they're going to fall off. Will I die?
