My wife and I come from modest backgrounds, and have been very fortunate financially. But that's partially because we've never lived extravagantly (comfortably, certainly, but not extravagantly), and don't have any debt. Money that I spend on watches only comes from my "mad money" fund, money that isn't needed towards retirement or other expenses--both Mrs. Cor and I have funds like that. She saves hers, though.
I think part of it is that he comes from a modest background as well; he's the only in his family that is successful. Owns a house outright on a golf course in an expensive Connecticut town, is high up at a major private equity firm, probably makes in a year what it took me five years to make at BlackRock, if not more. Perhaps wealthy isn't the right word, but the guy has serious coin. He lives alone, never married, no kids. Seems like his only indulgences are the occasional new running shoe and the occasional steak.

Hmm. Well, if I didn't have kids, or a wife, not sure what I'd be saving it all for...

LOL, I couldn't not take a picture of the paint job.

I think this is the only other shot I took of the Shelby:

    No sympathy

Just heard a couple of biggish bikes revving the balls off their engines on the street near me .... Look at me, look at me, so I went to the door to see what the commotion was about......

After a fair bit of warming up, the first one finally let rip and sped off into the night.....doing 60 in a few seconds.... On a 30 road

The other one decided it was his time to follow.........half a second and three metres later and there's that unmistakable scraping /scratching noise of metal and fender rubbing against cold tarmac and his bike is on its side doing a twirl

If you're gonna blatantly show off and put a show on, at least be good at it.

Nothing hurt other than his bike and his pride

I'm not sure (probably). I'm not up to speed (ha!) on the Shelbys.

Quick question for fellow car enthusiasts:

    Coilovers or New Exhaust

Which one would you get first?

Exhaust! Because I've never heard of a coilover.

Whichever is the most knackered. If they're not knackered, neither.
