Didn't do it for me. I prefer a sequential, like the BMW was, but a good auto works, too.

You had a manual Cayenne!? They do exist!

Heh, yeah. It was a rare one. 08 GTS. Horribly unreliable. Really great sounding factory exhaust.

The M was an incredible car, but I really wanted another super wagon in my life. I'd sold a 2007 E63 wagon to buy the M5 and I missed the utility of a hatch.

I found the car about 4 hrs away in PA. A friend who owns a car dealer picked it up for me, inspected it and traded my M for it. The trade saves $ on tax here in MD, you only pay tax on the difference between the trade and purchase.

The V had really bad pinstripes and side molding.

After a few hrs with a heat gun, 3M eraser wheel, adhesive remover and a little cleanup it looks much better.

    And useful, too.

The interior is typical disappointing GM, but the car rides and drives great. The big, blown 6.2L LSA makes 556hp/551tq for now and seems to pass everything but a gas station.

Once I finish with 2 other hotrod projects I'm going to do a few bolt on mods (pulley, injectors, tune, heat exchanger).

Congrats on buying one of my favorites!

Much like the e63 AMG wagons, the CTS-V wagon is a rare car. I think I remember reading that there's only 300(?) or so of them sold before they discontinued it.

Styling wise, I thing it would look great with a blacked out chrome trim and black wheels.

I think the W211 E63 wagon is more rare than the V wagon, but I'm struggling to find production numbers by year for the V wagon. I had a 2007 E63.

I wish they made a lower powered (400-430hp) version on the GT-R with a manual. That design didn't excite me at the beginning, but it's aged very well. However, dual clutches and I just don't mix.

Delivery of my new car has been pushed out by a week but, after 6 months of waiting, I'm just glad that is now in the country.

I'm probably going to be given a diesel company car sometime soon, which will be dull.

No offence to diesel owners. Like Scott.
