Previously, I had a 2002 Mercedes E320, a 2004.5 VW Passat 1.8T, a 2007 Porsche Boxster S, and the car that will always have a place in my heart (first one I bought with my own money), a 2008 Volkswagen Jetta Wolfsburg, 6 speed manual, with the lovely 2.0T engine.
Currently, my second car that I bought with my own money, a 2006 BMW Z4 3.0i 6MT:
I'm hoping to add something practical and cheap soon. Front runner at the moment is a 5MT 2004-2009 Subaru Legacy 2.5GT. I will only drive stick, so it narrows down the number of cars I can consider. New cars just don't interest me anymore, it seems. The number one car I want to get to replace my Z4 with is another E85 Z4, with lower miles and a more powerful engine (either 3.0si or M).
What I want to add:

Slips on anorak: The base model Dolomite 1300 & 1500 also had the square headlights. The 1500HL had twin round along with 1850 & Sprint models.
I don't think any Toledos made it across the pond. There are a few Dolomite Sprints over there; but Triumph saloons are few & far between.
Nice to see one with actual race history
I hope you've some padded gloves, because you're going to feel every ripple in the road with those solid rack clamps ! I tried them on the Toledo, but way too harsh; swapped them out for polyurethane ones - much better.
Some people have opinions - The rest of us have taste.
BMW 3 Series with one or two added extras :-)
