Seems like this edition has driven up prices of the old one. When I was looking years back, they were going for $2500-3000, which I thought was a lot for what is basically a watch I already had.

But it now the two on eBay are $8500-9700. Missed opportunity for me.

You would need to talk to my wife since I would be dead. Rob would kill me if I tried to sell it after what it took him to get this. I consider myself lucky to have the Caplan family (Toppers)as friends. He did come through when it looked like it would not happen.

Bummer. I've not seen one less than that for a while, and you have to be careful since there was a way to get the parts from Omega and build a fake made with real parts if you will. So you need to get the serial numbers validated.

Damn. I almost just want to get* a beat up regular Speedmaster and pop on the dial (which seems easy to purchase). Perhaps disingenuous, but I love Snoopy.

*if I had any money, which I don't for now

Anyway, your Snoopy is really, really amazing. I LOVE that Snoopy is lumed.

    Is it a hesalite crystal?

Nice. I'm a big fan of the acrylic on the regular Speedmaster over the sapphire sandwich model, but I generally like sapphire.
